Hanger… An Amazing Energy To Get Things Done!
I’m very connected with my Ku – which is the Hawaiian concept for ‘heart/body’. In other words, the subconscious.
Actually, I was being facetious when I said I’m very connected with my Ku, because the Ku is very much motivated by pleasure and will move away on auto-pilot from things it considers unpleasant. And that would be me, 😇.
Calling the Tax Office: unpleasant. Therefore avoided for weeks.
Calling my Insurance Company: unpleasant. Also avoided for weeks.
Complaining to my Roofing Company: unpleasant. But necessary.
Very necessary: I no longer have enough pots and pans to put underneath my leaking office roof.
I have noticed, however, that I will typically make these calls just before lunch.
Read: when I’m hungry and my mood swings from ‘at peace with the world’ to “They had bloody well better fix this now!“
So the other day I called my insurance company when I was just pissed off enough to get my message across very clearly!
Cos it’s not just the Ku avoiding unpleasant things, it’s that Ku knows it’s going to be unpleasant because empath-me will align myself with the person on the other end of the line and if they have other ideas about the subject we will probably end up doing that.
There are times when I simply do not want that to happen. And so I deliberately postpone that call until my energy is aligned with the outcome I want.
And that moment typically arrives when I’m hangry. Which is Hunger-invoked-pissed-offiness.
And so the other day I called my insurance company just before lunch – and when I rang off, a few minutes later, I knew she had totally understood my point and was going to resolve it in alignment with my intention.
This now left the roofers. I have been calling them since forever, but this is just a very small job for them and they’re not going to get paid either, because it’s something that simply hasn’t been fixed properly the first time around.
So you can already see how my own energy is letting them off the hook: my little job is a nuisance and it’s understandable that they don’t come around to fix it and that they keep pushing me towards the end of the line.
Now, the entrepreneur in me is in two minds about that: I get it. But that doesn’t make it right. Also, it’s bad business policy, because I will not recommend them to anyone else!
But it takes me being hangry before I finally make that one pissy call-to-end-all-further-calls.
As luck would have it, I got their answering machine. So I left my pissy message. The call was returned instantly. In fact, so instantly that I could only conclude he hadn’t had time to hear my voice mail.
Turns out he hadn’t. And yet he returned my call at once.
First time ever!
Which means I don’t actually need the pissy energy in the message, I just need the pissy energy in my system!
It is my energy saying: I have reached the limit, this is it, this is where I draw the line.
And the universe/Energy will accommodate that, regardless of how I approach anyone else, because it will put the right person on the other end of the line.
As I contemplate the phone call with the Roofer, I am reminded of James Wanless – creator of my favourite Tarot deck: The Voyager Tarot.
When I first drew the card ‘Anger’ he looked at it and said: “That is probably one of my favourite cards from the entire deck. Anger. People are afraid of anger, but if they understood it properly, they wouldn’t be. Anger is just ‘BIG ENERGY’, that’s all it is.”
Big Energy.
And just before lunch, when I’m starting to get hungry, my energy suddenly gets very focused… I suddenly get very clear on what I want and how I’m going to go about it.
With just the right amount of Anger Energy to get things done.
